About Me
Hi, my name is Yurie. I am a mother of three children and moved to Australia 15 years ago when my oldest was 3 and my youngest was 2. I got a part-time job right after I moved here and was working shift work, but at the time I had no family or friends, and couldn’t afford to hire a babysitter.
At that time I found out about the Au Pair program, which is how I started this small business.
I have had many wonderful and not so wonderful experiences during those 6 years. At that time, other friends asked me to find an Au pair for them, and I have been looking for one. Then my second son got sick and left him with a disability and also I got divorced so I studied to become a disability support worker to raise three children on my own, but I couldn’t get any job at that time. I thought “If no one will hire me, I have no choice! I decided to hire myself” and after that, I studied Cert4 small business management and started this small business of introducing Au pairs. I had to stop for a while because of Covid, but now I am happy to meet many young Japanese people and new families and live happily every day.
I am able to keep my business going because many people support me and refer me to friends and family of friends. I could not have done it alone. I am still grateful for that. What I can do is very small, but I will continue to do my best to help such wonderful people as much as I can. I would like to thank all the kind host families and the training families. Some of the families pay every week (VIP plan) to support me even though they don’t need my support. Thank you so much.
Thank you to all of you, I am able to provide for my three children, and soon my oldest will graduate from high school. It was not only me who raised them but also your support.
